Why We Built It
Modern home and small business networks are surprisingly complex. A typical setup includes a router, a handful of smart home devices, IoT sensors, streaming boxes, personal computers, and guests — and on any given day, you might have no idea what half of them are or whether they're behaving normally.
Enterprise network management tools solve this problem, but they're priced for enterprises. Free alternatives are either too limited or require significant self-hosting expertise to operate. LANcarta was built to fill that gap: a professional-grade network inventory and monitoring tool that anyone with a terminal can deploy in under a minute.

How We Think About Your Data
Your network inventory is yours. The collector runs on your hardware, on your network. It discovers what you point it at — nothing more. Discovery data flows to your account only, and it is never shared, sold, or used to train external models.
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in, no tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics. We believe network monitoring software should be straightforward about what it collects and why. The Privacy Policy documents this in full.
The Product
LANcarta is a SaaS platform with three components: the portal (the web application where you see and manage your network), the API (what the collector talks to), and the collector (a lightweight Go binary that runs as a system service on your network host).
The collector is available for Linux, macOS, Windows, and Docker. It installs with a single shell command and starts discovering nodes within seconds. There are no agents to maintain on individual devices — one collector per subnet is typically enough.
